PRODUCT REDESIGN
In this school project, I was tasked with identifying a flawed product package and creating a redesigned solution. I chose Guerrero tostada shells, which are traditionally packaged in a thin cellophane bag (pictured on the Right) that offers little protection and often leads to broken shells.
To solve this, I designed a sturdy nonagon-shaped box that securely holds the tostadas and minimizes breakage. The structural redesign not only improves durability and stackability but also gives the product a stronger shelf presence.
The packaging design incorporates the colors of the Mexican flag to honor the brand’s cultural roots while enhancing visual appeal.
